Slieve Donard Climb 2016

On Tuesday 20th September almost 100 staff and pupils assembled at the foot of 852 m Slieve Donard for the second year in a row. The task was to climb the highest peak in the North to raise funds for Childrens Hospice NI. All 100 set off at 10.30ish with almost everyone making it to the saddle and the summit.

This is not an easy hike and the positivity, hard work, effort and drive that got pupils to the top are qualities that will transfer from the success in the climb to all aspects of life, not just exams.

The good humour, camaraderie, and encouragement from each other was exceptional and the event that doubles up as a team building exercise for all 6th formers was yet again a massive success!!!

Roll on next year!
